KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has seen a strong recovery for almost two weeks now. With the exception of sporadic declines in the last fortnight, the index remains positive.
On Friday, the benchmark KSE-100 opened at 61,914.34 points and closed with a gain of 901 points at 62,815.81 points. On Monday, the stock market opened with a sharp gain of around 600 points and was hovering around 63,393.81 points by 11:00 AM.

While the increase in the index came from several sectors, indicating positive momentum in the market as a whole, the E&P sector appeared to be one of the main contributors to this gain.
