Stock Market continues momentum from Friday

KARACHI: The last trading day of the outgoing week saw some gains for the benchmark KSE-100 index. The market opened at 62,393.73 points and gained 300 points to hover around 62,710.83 points by 11:00 AM. By closing time, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached 63,002.91 points.
On Tuesday (today), after a long weekend, the stock market continued its momentum from Friday and registered a gain of 265 points in the hour of trading. The index was at the level of 63,268.28 points around 10:00.

Much of the index’s early-day gains came from E&P companies, while PIA and K-Electric trading in the red dragged the stock market lower.
