Streaming platform and film production company Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of the survival web series Squid Game and announced its release on December 26.
The trailer suggests that this time, viewers will experience even more dangerous games compared to the first season. It also reveals more main characters, along with the return of some old ones.
The first season of Squid Game was released on Netflix in September 2021 and quickly became the most-watched series of the year within just a few weeks. Following its success, Netflix confirmed in December 2021 that two more seasons of Squid Game would be produced.
Now, with the release of the second season’s trailer, it has been confirmed that the season will premiere on December 26. The third and final season of the series is set to release in 2025.
The series became globally popular due to its intense and thrilling games, where participants, in order to pay off their debts, are eliminated by being shot in front of everyone upon losing, creating the suspense and excitement that captivated audiences worldwide.
