JHELUM, Aug. 5: Acting on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, Mir Raza Ozgen, the Assistant Commissioner Sohawa conducted a detailed inspection of Nullah Gahan, Domeli, where heavy overnight rainfall had damaged a bridge crossing, temporarily disrupting traffic.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner reviewed the situation on the ground and directed the concerned departments to take immediate remedial measures. As a result, restoration work was completed promptly, and the crossing was reopened for traffic, ensuring the smooth movement of commuters and minimizing inconvenience to the public.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining essential infrastructure and ensuring a swift response to emergencies during the ongoing monsoon season.
Later, the Assistant Commissioner visited the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic, Bara Gawah, to inspect healthcare facilities and assess the quality of public services.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner reviewed staff attendance, the availability of medicines, and the healthcare services being provided to patients. The concerned officials were directed to ensure the uninterrupted provision of quality medical care and to address public health needs efficiently and without delay.
The inspections reflect the district administration’s continued focus on strengthening public service delivery, improving emergency preparedness, and ensuring timely access to both infrastructure and healthcare services for local communities.
