A large number of Sikhs gathered outside the Indian Embassy in Washington to show solidarity with farmers in India. The protesters, led by Sikh organisations, raised slogans and placards condemning the alleged injustice faced by farmers in India.
Amid chanting slogans calling for justice, Sikhs placed Khalistan flags on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, symbolizing their dissatisfaction with the Indian government’s handling of the situation.
Dr. Bhakshish Singh Sandhu, representing Sikh for Justice, spoke to the media and highlighted the reported use of force against the farmers, including firing and tear gas.
The protest, characterized by a peaceful but passionate atmosphere, underscored growing concern over the treatment of farmers in India.
