Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has urged his team to up their game as they prepare for the crucial two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting on August 21.
In a press conference held in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Masood stressed the importance of securing victories in the remaining nine Test matches.
He emphasized that a positive and aggressive attitude is essential for the team’s success in the competition.
This requires a proactive and positive mindset in all aspects of our game – batting, bowling and fielding, stated Masood. “Our aim is to achieve the best possible results for Pakistan. We have to win a significant number of these nine upcoming games.”
With seven of those nine matches to be played at home, Masood is optimistic about the team’s prospects. “Playing at home is advantageous because our players are well acquainted with the local conditions.
However, coping with mental and physical pressure will be decisive,” he noted.
The Bangladeshi team, which was originally scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on August 17, will now land in Lahore on August 13.
They will train at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14-16 before traveling to Islamabad for training at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18-20.
