Shaista Lodhi recently sat down with host Hafiz Ahmed and discussed Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed’s wedding news that completely rocked the internet. The TV personality opened up about her thoughts on the affair, which spread like wildfire, ultimately leading to viewers choosing sides and mostly targeting the newlyweds with a barrage of negative comments.
Conversing in Urdu, Shaista asked, “Two adults who love each other and choose each other to spend the rest of their lives together – there’s nothing wrong with that, right?” She added: “People spend a lot of time on social media, way too much,” and spoke about the sentence the duo faced.
Shaista went on to share, “Both of them (Shoaib and Sana) are very dear friends of mine. Whether I guessed it or not, it’s an individual choice. Often, to save ourselves from many things, we don’t express things as they happen. in our lives.” The star added in frustration: “Social media really is a waste of time.” Shaista echoed her outrage, saying, “People have a lot of free time. They judge people however they want.”

In addition, Shaista doubled down on the fact that “we can’t write everything that happens in their lives.” She said, “It’s not necessary for you to share when you’ve experienced something unpleasant. Why is it necessary?” Her frustration clearly building, Shaista asked, “Who allows you to judge someone by who they’re dating?”
She went on to share, “My job is to be on TV, to be on TV – judge me on that. What’s going on in my personal life, who I’m with or not, what I think about anyone else – why should I share this? And you two are not children. If two people are happy together, what’s wrong with that? Why are people angry?”
Angrily shedding light on how “people always want something” to discuss, the star asked viewers to think about “what they want.” She expressed her anger by saying, “They share disgusting glimpses to make their videos go viral. They don’t think that Sana has a sister, a brother, she has others in the family. Even those who were in her and Shoaib’s life before this, these people they have their own dignity and respect.”
Concluding her thoughts, Shaista said, “When I read the comments, I started crying. How can people drag families through the mud like this? The people who comment should think about whether they would tolerate or not tolerate it if their families spoke in Likewise. I don’t know why we don’t see people happy and have to dig through their skeletons.”
