Advocate General Punjab told the Lahore High Court that the government has provided seven cells for PTI founder Imran Khan and 14 security personnel have been appointed for his security.
He also said that food for the former prime minister was prepared in a special kitchen where no other food was served.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan heard the PTI founder’s plea for security in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
During the hearing, the Advocate General of Punjab appeared and submitted a report to the court, which stated that Imran Khan was kept in a six-room cell.
Adiala Jail has one security guard for every 10 people, but for Imran Khan, 14 officers have been deployed and CCTV cameras have been installed for $500,000. Meals for PTI founders are also prepared in a special kitchen.
Petitioner’s lawyer Asad Manzoor Butt said he was not allowed to meet his client, the court said it was a serious matter and not everyone was allowed to meet him.
The court adjourned PTI founder’s security suit till Eid.
