SEPO Receives KP Charity Commission Registration, Strengthening Environmental Action

Peshawer: Shaheen Environmental Protection Organization (SEPO), a youth-led environmental organization working for a cleaner, greener, and sustainable future, has achieved another important milestone with its provisional registration from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Charity Commission.

This recognition reflects SEPO’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and impactful community-based environmental initiatives across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

SEPO has been actively working since 2017 to promote environmental awareness, climate action, plantation campaigns, and community engagement. The organization was formally registered under the Societies Registration Act in February 2025, further strengthening its institutional framework and ability to serve communities through organized environmental programs.

With a growing network of more than 2,500 volunteers across 25 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, SEPO continues to empower young people to take practical action for environmental protection. Under its vision:

“Empowering Young Minds for Green Actions”

SEPO believes that youth are the key drivers of positive environmental change and works to build environmental leadership at the grassroots level.

One of SEPO’s unique and impactful initiatives is the SEPO Fruits Garden Initiative, which aims to transform communities through sustainable fruit gardens. These gardens are designed as long-term environmental and social assets, providing ecological benefits, supporting biodiversity, improving food security, and creating a legacy of benefit for future generations.

The Fruits Garden Initiative represents a vision of Sadqa-e-Jaria, where planting today continues to benefit people, communities, and the environment for years to come.

Speaking on this achievement, Naseem Ullah Shaheen, Chairman SEPO, said:

«“This registration is a great responsibility and motivation for our entire team. We are grateful to Allah Almighty, our volunteers, supporters, and partners who have trusted our mission. SEPO will continue working with dedication, transparency, and collaboration to create a greener and more sustainable Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”»

SEPO welcomes collaboration with government institutions, donors, development partners, educational institutions, and community organizations to expand environmental initiatives and create meaningful climate solutions.
