KHAIRPUR: The Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), District Office Khairpur, inspected industrial units at New Khajoor Mandi following public complaints and reports shared on social media.
The inspection was conducted in coordination with the Assistant Commissioner Khairpur to check compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
During the inspection, SEPA found several industrial units operating without the required environmental approvals and lacking adequate pollution-control measures.

The agency directed the operators to obtain the necessary environmental approvals and ensure compliance with the Sindh Environmental Protection Act, 2014 and relevant environmental regulations.
SEPA said further monitoring of the industrial units would continue and action would be taken against those found violating environmental laws.
The inspection highlights the importance of effective environmental compliance in industrial areas to control pollution and protect public health and the local environment.
