Two studies published in the scientific journal “Nature” reveal that the material responsible for life on Earth came from space. This aligns with a reference made in the Quran by the Creator 1,400 years ago.
NASA had sent a spacecraft to collect soil from the asteroid “Bennu” near Earth. This soil arrived on Earth in 2023 and was distributed to 66 scientists across four continents.
Their research revealed that the soil contains not only water but also all the organic compounds, minerals, and salts required to create life, including many amino acids that form DNA.
This discovery astonished experts, with scientists suggesting that it is highly probable that the material for life on Earth came from other stars and celestial bodies in space, including Bennu and other asteroids in the solar system.
This aligns with a verse from Surah Al-A’raf (7:185) in the Quran, which says, “Do they not look at the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created?” This verse hints that Allah has the power to create life anywhere in the universe.
Moreover, the analysis of Bennu’s soil revealed compounds that had not been found before on Earth or any other asteroid.
It is worth noting that Bennu, with a diameter of 490 meters, is so close to Earth that there are concerns it may collide with our planet around 2182, potentially causing significant damage.
