Sargodha Holds Numberdars Convention to Strengthen Anti-Smog Measures

SARGODHA: A Numberdars Convention was held in Kot Momin to strengthen anti-smog measures and improve coordination among departments involved in controlling air pollution.

The convention was organised under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Kot Momin Mohsin Iqbal Dhillon on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Sargodha.

Officials from the Agriculture Department, Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), revenue field staff and the Motorway Police attended the session.

Participants were briefed on anti-smog measures, inter-departmental coordination and effective field action against activities that contribute to air pollution.

Officials were directed to ensure strict implementation of anti-smog laws, strengthen joint field operations and take effective action against violations.

The meeting highlighted the importance of coordination between government departments and local representatives in controlling pollution and protecting air quality, particularly during the smog season.

The initiative also aims to improve public awareness and encourage local communities to support measures designed to reduce air pollution and protect public health.
