Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Sunday called for an end to the political imbroglio.
In an interview, the former interior minister said: “Today, the country is facing a political and economic crisis. The country was drawn into the crisis by a conspiracy.”
“A political crisis must be viewed politically. It is expected that the crisis will end after the election. But it didn’t,” said Sanaullah.
Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sanaullah said, “The case against PTI founder is genuine. This decision is in favor of PTI founder.”

A few days later, Sanaullah said on Thursday that he did not accept people’s talk of saving the country.
“We are asking Asif Ali Zardari to take over as president to strengthen the government,” Sanaullah said.
“The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) should discuss the issue with the Prime Minister regarding the appointment of the IRSA chairman.
“There is a feeling in the PML-N that there is no need to test again because we have already experienced it,” Sanaullah said.
“Sheriff Sheriff was re-elected because he knows how to get things done,” he said.
He said: “We talk about saving the country from normalcy. But people don’t accept our talk about saving the country.
