Indian actress Dia Mirza revealed in an interview that during the shooting of her film Tum Ko Na Bhool Paayenge in Rajasthan, actor Salman Khan saved her from a crowd of hundreds of people.
Dia Mirza’s first film Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein is gaining recognition after its re-release. On this occasion, the actress spoke about her film Tum Ko Na Bhool Paayenge with Salman Khan, expressing that if the film were to be re-released in theaters, it would also receive appreciation.
While sharing memories from her film Tum Ko Na Bhool Paayenge, Dia spoke about Salman Khan’s caring nature and revealed how Salman protected her during the shooting.
She recalled that when she signed the film, she was a big fan of Salman Khan. “When we started working together, I would look at him every day and think, ‘I can’t believe I’m really working with the person whose films I have watched repeatedly,'” she said.
Dia Mirza also talked about the gender imbalance on set during that time. She shared an incident from shooting a song in the outskirts of Jaipur, where extra security was required. She explained that one day, while returning, hundreds of people were following them, screaming and whistling.
The actress shared that she and Salman Khan were sent in the same vehicle with security to ensure their safety due to the large crowd. “I will never forget how Salman made sure I was safe by putting me in the car first,” she said.
The famous song “Bandiya Chhamke, Choodi Khanke” from Tum Ko Na Bhool Paayenge was shot in Rajasthan. The film, released in 2002, also starred Sushmita Sen alongside Dia and Salman Khan.
