RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar recently visited Saudi Arabia where he met top officials of the Saudi military, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Air Marshal met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces and the Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, where they mainly discussed joint exercises and technical cooperation between the air forces of both countries.
“Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan, called on General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff, Saudi Armed Forces and His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Turki Bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force during their visit to Saudi Arabia,” the statement said.
The discussion focused on the development of defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, specifically joint military exercises and technology partnerships between their respective air forces.

“The meetings were aimed at further promoting Pak-Saudi defense ties, particularly between the two air forces through joint military exercises and technological cooperation,” ISPR said in a statement.
The Pakistan Air Force Chief also received the National Badge of Honor from the Saudi Army Chief.
“During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces was awarded the Distinguished Class Badge of Honor by the Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces King Abdul Aziz.”
