Peshawar, August 1: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department has temporarily closed the Naran–Lake Saif-ul-Muluk Road to all types of traffic due to the threat of heavy rainfall and a possible cloudburst.
According to the department, the precautionary measure has been taken to safeguard the lives of tourists and local residents as adverse weather conditions continue to affect the region.
Officials have advised tourists and the general public to avoid unnecessary travel to the area and strictly follow safety guidelines until weather conditions improve.
The Tourism Department said authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and that the road will be reopened once it is declared safe for travel.
Tourists have also been urged to stay informed through official weather advisories and cooperate with local authorities to minimise risks and avoid inconvenience during the ongoing spell of severe weather.
