Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan clarified his stance on batting positions and team strategy, highlighting his flexibility and commitment to the team’s success.
In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, addressing the recent controversies surrounding his batting order, Rizwan stated, “I have never refused to play one down. When asked, I have said I am absolutely available.”
Rizwan further claimed that he is ready to adapt, mentioning his willingness to bowl and even give up wicket-keeping duties if necessary.
“I even said that if I am needed for bowling, I am ready for that too, I can even leave wicketkeeping,” he added.

Reflecting on his career, Rizwan highlighted his versatility by noting his performances in various batting positions.
“If you look at my career so far, I’ve batted at No. 7, 8 and 9 in 26 games. No batsman has stepped up at No. 9, I have. I can’t say I won’t.” I was ready earlier and I am ready now,” said Rizwan.
