Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Amir Maqam has stated that the release of the founder of PTI is not within the capacity of the government’s negotiation committee.
Maqam emphasized that the release of the PTI founder has no connection with the government’s negotiating committee. He urged the PTI negotiation committee to focus on national interests instead.
Maqam further asserted that there should be no discussion about the release of the PTI founder, stating that if negotiations are to take place, PTI should work through the court for his release.
He added that the PTI founder must prove his innocence in court, and that national interest does not appear in his dictionary.
The PML-N leader questioned whether the events of May 9 and the attack on Islamabad were carried out in the national interest by the PTI founder.
Amir Maqam also mentioned that if Pervez Khattak joins the cabinet, he would be welcomed.
