Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Holds Solidarity Walk to Mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir

RAWALPINDI, Aug. 5: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) organized a solidarity walk on Bank Road to commemorate Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, expressing support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The walk was attended by a large number of Cantonment Board officers, employees, and local residents. It was led by Additional Executive Officer Zia Hussain and Secretary Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Imran Habib, along with other officials and staff members.

Participants carried banners and placards highlighting support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and voiced solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Addressing the gathering, Additional Executive Officer Zia Hussain said that the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir serves to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir, support their right to self-determination, and raise awareness about the humanitarian situation in IIOJK.

He said Pakistan’s people and institutions stand with the Kashmiri people and will continue to extend moral and diplomatic support to their cause. He added that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and peaceful resolution of the longstanding dispute.

Following the event, the Additional Executive Officer and other RCB officials also participated in the central Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir ceremony and solidarity walk held at D-Chowk, Islamabad, to reiterate Pakistan’s continued support for the people of Kashmir.
