Actor Raveena Tandon met with a sudden and violent incident in Bandra late on Saturday. Following allegations that the driver was involved in rash driving, a group confronted Tandon and accused him of insulting and assaulting the women involved in the incident. In a video that has gone viral, the actor, dressed in white, is seen pleading with the crowd, “Please don’t hit me.”
Situation escalated as angry citizens and victims surrounded Tandon.
A woman with a nosebleed claimed Tando assaulted her. Amidst the tension, people called the police, and some in the crowd could be heard calling for others to “press on”.
According to Indian media, Tandon drunkenly got out of his car to protect the driver and hit one of the woman’s mothers, causing severe head injuries.
Tandon has sought legal advice to clear the allegations. After the incident, Tandon asked the audience not to record the video and asked the crowd not to push or hit him.
