President Asif Ai Zardari has confirmed the appointment of Rana Sanaullah as Political and Public Relations Advisor to the Prime Minister.
Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Politics and Public Relations, will be promoted to the rank of Federal Minister.
President Zardari approved appointment on advice of PM Shehbaz.
On April 9, a local court in Karachi dismissed an appeal by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah for threatening the party’s founder. The court heard a plea from PTI Bar Forum Sindh President Zahoor Mahsud.
The police told the court that the petitioner had come to the police station and asked to record his statement over the phone, but Zahoor Mehsood did not come to record his statement. The petition stated that on March 25, threats to “kill” PTI were seen on social media.
