Mohammad Amir praised Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam and Quetta Gladiator teammate Saim Ayub after the match.
Speaking to reporters in Lahore, Amir acknowledged the importance of the current PSL season for Quetta Gladiators and expressed gratitude for the fans’ support.
“This PSL is very important for me,” said Amir. “I have to live up to the expectations of Quetta Gladiators and I am grateful for the love from the fans.
He then turned his attention to Babar Azam who has been in great form this season. “Babar Azam is a fantastic batsman,” said Amir. “He played a great innings and it’s an honor for any player to be praised by Sir Vivian Richards.”
Amir also acknowledged the challenges faced by bowlers in T20 cricket. “Chasing 200 runs was not easy,” he admitted. “The wickets have been very good and some days they just hit you.
Despite the challenges, Amir remained optimistic about his team’s chances. “T20 is a batting game,” he said, “but we have some of the best bowlers in the league. And Saim Ayub is a dangerous player – watch out for him!”
