ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Asad Qaiser, who is a former speaker of the National Assembly, approached the Islamabad High Court to meet party founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.
Qaiser submitted an application stating that he had sought permission from the jail authorities to meet the PTI founder but they did not allow him.
It stated, “As a member of PTI, it is the fundamental right of the petitioner to meet the founder of PTI within the confines of the jail.
Qaiser asked the court to issue orders to meet the PTI founder for political and legal consultation.

He asked the court to also issue orders to ensure privacy during the meeting with the PTI founder.
In a video statement on the X social media platform, Qaiser said he wanted to hold a discussion with Imran on the political situation in the country.
“Pakistan cannot afford more anarchy at this time. The nation has chosen its leader and his mandate should be respected,” he said.
