Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chairman Nawaz Sharif has called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today (Saturday) to discuss the issue of wheat procurement in Punjab.
According to details, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be briefed about the situation at the center during his Jati Umra visit.
Last Friday, PML-N held an important consultative meeting in which PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif decided to take responsibility for creating the wheat crisis, including the country’s largest province, Punjab.
Sources said that the possibility of issuing “Farmer Cards” was also considered for the purchase of grain.
The PML-N supremo ordered his ruling party to issue Kissan Cards to farmers as soon as possible.

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz is expected to nominate Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif as the party president in Saturday’s (May 11) primary.
Sources said the central executive committee and core committee meetings have been held on May 11.
Invitations to future meetings were also extended.
According to sources, he has not yet decided to change the position of another organization while waiting for the post of party president.
Within days, former interior minister Rana Sanaullah Nawaz said he had invited Sharif to resume his post as party president.
“Now there is no constitutional bar for Nawaz Sharif to become the president of the party. Nawaz Sharif has been asked to take over as the president of the party.”
