Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to build the government’s first cancer hospital near Valencia in Lahore.
The Chief Minister surveyed the potential site for the hospital. She was also informed about the hospital on site. The CM also authorized the construction of a hotel for the nurses of oncology patients.
Maryam also said that the cancer hospital will provide free treatment to all patients.
She announced that the world’s best cancer experts would be called to the hospital. The government will provide the best medical professionals and state-of-the-art equipment to care for cancer hospital patients.

She also announced that disease screening would be launched in the province, adding that when she vacated her office after five years, she wanted a state-of-the-art hospital in every city. It has also announced free medicines in all emergency departments of government hospitals from today. Emergency service 1122 was requested to start a highway emergency service.
