LAHORE: The process of cabinet formation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came to an end with both the provincial administrations preparing to take oath of their respective cabinets on Wednesday (today).
Following the general elections held on 8 February, the governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have finalized their cabinet selection.
The swearing-in ceremony of the Punjab Cabinet is scheduled to take place today at 4:00 PM at the Governor’s House, with Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rahman overseeing the oath-taking ceremony.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz unveiled her cabinet.
In Punjab, the initial phase will witness the swearing-in of 15 ministers focusing on key ministries.

Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur engaged in talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chief Imran Khan at Adiala jail on the political dynamics of the region.
Names for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, including Mushtaq Ghani, among others, have received approval for various ministerial posts.
Gandapur pledged to prioritize initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security and prosperity across the province.
