Former prominent leaders of the People’s Students Federation in Peshawar, including Malik Dilnawaz Khan, Yayha Shah Khalil and Engineer Dawood Jan organized a reception in honor of PSF’s longstanding associate Barrister Dr. Usman Ali . The event was attended by central executive committee members of the party including Barrister Masood Kausar, Azam Afridi provincial cabinet members Syed Ayub Shah, Syed Taher Abbas, Comrade Anwar Zaib, Khawaja Yawar Nasir, Javaid Khattak Syed Zafran Shah, Waheed Afzal Gorla, Ashraf Saraf , and several founding members.

On this occasion the focus of the discussion was on the current political scenario, and attention was drawn to the party’s situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The participants reiterated their commitment to present the party’s widest interests, reorganize the party with new cadres, and pledge unconditional services to the central and provincial leadership of the party in empowering the youth.

It was recommended to strengthen the party’s roots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to initiate organizational reforms in the province, emphasizing the need to revive party workers and public confidence in the wake of the disappointing results of recent elections, asserting that the aspirations of all classes of society are still associated with the Pakistan People’s Party.

The partners expressed their desire to send a message to the party leadership to consider their positive suggestions and take necessary steps to deal with current challenges. A comprehensive campaign should be launched to revitalize the party’s foundation and attract new supporters, democratic elections should be held at all levels (ward, town, city, district, and provincial) to ensure the certainty of new leadership and representation. An organizational structures should be formed for accountability and decision-making. reforms should be made in provincial and local committees to ensure inclusivity and activity, keeping members informed and engaged through regular meetings.

A contact committee was formed on the recommendation of senior leaders at the reception, including Malik Dilnawaz Khan, Engineer Dawood Jan, Yahya Shah Khalil, Syed Ayub Shah, Syed Taher Abbas, Comrade Anwar Zaib, Khawaja Yawar Nasir, Engineer Waheed Afzal Gorla, Javaid Khatk, Engineer Aziz Dawar to organize party workers, establish communication with the central and provincial leadership of the party. This committee will also promote mutual cooperation, restore confidence among deprived and disappointed workers, and smooth the way for the aforementioned objectives and dignified solutions to the party’s current challenges, and to further involve effective collaborators in the contact committee.
