Prince Harry is preparing for an emotional return to his homeland with the hope of bringing his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with him to meet their grandfather, King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex is due to visit the UK in May to attend a special service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
While Meghan Markle’s attendance remains to be confirmed, Prince Harry is keen on her presence alongside their children as he tries to facilitate a meaningful reunion between his offspring and his father, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
A source close to the royal family told the Daily Express that Harry is optimistic about the prospect of his family attending the service, allowing them to reconnect with loved ones.
The couple, who now live in California, are keen to create stronger bonds between their children and Harry’s extended family. An insider revealed: “Both Harry and Meghan want the children to be close to Harry’s family, but she is very worried about returning to England.”

The upcoming visit has significant sentimental value as King Charles has had limited opportunities to spend time with his grandchildren. Despite Harry and Meghan’s previous status as active members of the royal family, the monarch has only met his granddaughter Lilibet once, during the late Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations in June 2022.
Prince Harry’s efforts to bridge the family divide underscore the desire for unity and reconciliation in the royal fold. As preparations for the reunion unfold, all eyes remain on the prospect of a cordial intergenerational reunion that marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing narrative of the royal family’s journey.
