President Zardari and CJCSC discuss security strategy

Islamabad: Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. He congratulated the President of CJCSC on his inauguration as the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The CJCSC briefing the President on the state of national security and the readiness of the armed forces. He said the armed forces can effectively solve internal and external security problems.

The President appreciated the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in protecting the national borders, as well as their contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. He said he has full confidence in the country’s security forces to successfully resolve internal and external security issues.

At the meeting it was decided to eliminate the threat of terrorism with the support of Turkmenistan.
