Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the people from the bottom of his heart and conveyed his best wishes on the occasion of Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha.
He expressed deep concern about the ongoing persecution in Gaza, noting that 40,000 people have been martyred in the area. He emphasized the need for Palestine and Kashmir to achieve their own freedom and pointed out the unprecedented atrocities in Kashmir.
In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the contribution of important political figures like Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto and Maulana Fazlur Rehman in guiding Pakistan on the path of development and prosperity. His efforts along with Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Fazlur Rehman saved the country from economic crisis.
Sheriff proudly announced that inflation has dropped significantly, from 38% to 12%, a major achievement for the administration. Reflecting on the past four years, he said the severe inflationary storm that hit the country had caused great suffering to the common man, widows and orphans who were struggling to meet their basic needs.
Highlighting the government’s achievements, the Prime Minister said that after 100 days of work, fuel prices have come down. He assured that Pakistan is now on the road of recovery towards economic stability and development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the importance of unity and tolerance and continued to support the efforts of the government. He assured that the main focus of the government is to solve the problems faced by the people and move the country towards a brighter future.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for a forward-looking approach, saying it was important to learn from the mistakes of the past to restore Pakistan to its former glory. He urged the nation to focus on the future instead of dwelling on past grievances, promising a concerted effort to further reduce inflation and attract investment.
He said he will prioritize the welfare of the people over personal interests. He emphasized the need to reduce excessive government spending and abolish ministries and agencies that burden the nation instead of serving the people. “Our main goal is to eliminate high-cost agencies that do not contribute to the public service.”
Noting the importance of economic reforms, Sharif said that important decisions related to the economy will be made in the next half of the month. He pointed out rampant corruption in the Department of Public Works (PWD) and called strict accountability measures.
The Prime Minister welcomed the important support of international allies in the name of China and Saudi Arabia as staunch friends of Pakistan. He said the army chief’s visit to China, Saudi Arabia and Qatar was part of a wider effort to promote investment and promote Pakistan’s rapid growth and prosperity.
Sharif reiterated his duty to serve the people and take necessary decisions for Pakistan’s economic development. He assured that his government will prioritize transparency, efficiency and public service in all public functions.
The prime minister highlighted the army chief’s strategic visit to China, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The UAE has pledged to invest $10 billion in Pakistan, and a well-thought-out system has been put in place to optimize these funds. Expressing optimism about the future of Pakistan’s economy, he appreciated the army chief’s efforts in working with investors.
“Getting out of debt is difficult, but not impossible,” said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reflecting on his successful exit from the International Monetary Fund in 2017, pledging that the current IMF program will depend on continued investment and gradual debt reduction.
Prime Minister Sharif announced a significant reduction in the cost of electricity in the industry with a reduction of Rs 10.5 per unit. This initiative is aimed at boosting industrial growth and reducing production costs by contributing to a more competitive market.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between the rich and the poor, and advocated a fair economic policy. He highlighted the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in attracting foreign investment and promoting economic development.
With the establishment of the Education Foundation in Pakistan, education remains a priority, opening educational opportunities to countless boys and girls across the country. This initiative aims to provide financial support to students and ensure access to qualifications
