Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China from June 4 to 8 at the invitation of Chinese leaders.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Buloch, said this at the weekly press conference on Friday. He said the prime minister’s four-day visit was aimed at re-invigorating the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and China.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will attend high-level meetings with the Chinese President and other important officials.
In addition to political relations, Prime Minister Sharif will meet representatives of Chinese companies and the corporate sector. He also plans to address the Pakistan-China Business Forum, highlighting opportunities to increase trade and investment between the two countries.
The visit will include visits to economic and agricultural zones, and will highlight areas of cooperation and development. Various agreements are expected to be signed, further strengthening economic and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to prepare for his visit to China and ordered to make a detailed plan for business and trade talks between the two countries. He ordered the authorities to make a plan to attract Chinese businessmen to open branches in Pakistan, and assured investors and industrialists that the government would wholeheartedly support them.
In the briefing, it was announced that the Prime Minister will travel to Shenzhen, China with a group of businessmen, investors and industrialists. The delegation will hold meetings with Chinese business circles in order to strengthen business relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister directed the Pakistani Ambassador to China to extend full support to the arrival of the Pakistani business delegation.
Azerbaijan FM visit
Additionally, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov recalled that he recently visited Pakistan. During his visit, Biramov discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and other important officials. This visit is considered very important, strengthening the strong relationship and cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
He said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan have a long and strong relationship.
Diplomatic relations with Saint Lucia
In a significant development, Pakistan and Saint Lucia officially established diplomatic relations on 29 May. This new relationship is part of Pakistan’s wider initiative to strengthen its global diplomatic network. In the last three years, Pakistan has successfully established diplomatic relations with various countries, raising its international profile and developing new partnerships.
