ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday received a congratulatory phone call from Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince congratulated the Prime Minister on his re-election, a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the phone call as well as the warm greetings he sent immediately after assuming office. The Prime Minister also conveyed his sincere wishes and prayers for the health and well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
He said that the people of Pakistan loved and respected both the Saudi King and the Crown Prince very much. He also wished the Saudi leadership and people a blessed month of Ramazan and prayed that the holy month would bring peace and prosperity to Muslims around the world.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan was proud of its historic, deep-rooted, and brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia and that the two countries had always stood together through thick and thin. He appreciated Saudi Arabia for its unwavering commitment and support to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince to make an official visit to Pakistan at the earliest and said that the people of Pakistan were waiting to give him a very warm welcome. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Prime Minister for his kind feelings and said the two countries have close brotherly relations and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan.
