Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday called for speeding up the completion of under-construction roads.
The Prime Minister chaired a meeting in line with the Reko Diq project in Lahore. Prime Minister Shehbaz Minister urged the need to ensure the safety of logistics and transport from Reqo Diq to the port.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also called for consultation of all the stakeholders at the official level and also to clear the hurdles related to the project.
The meeting was attended, among others, by a delegation from the Barrick Gold Company headed by CEO Mark Bristow.
– PM Shehbaz seeks to ease business operations –
A few days ago, Prime Minister Shehbaz launched a major initiative to facilitate business operations in Pakistan.
A committee headed by Federal Minister for Privatization and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan has been formed to lead the effort.
The committee consists of the chief secretaries of all the four provinces along with Makram Jah Ansari of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Notable members also include former Finance Minister Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh, Directorate General of Reforms and Automation, Director General of Pakistan Salman Ahmed, Ali Pervez Malik and Rana Ehsan Afzal.
The primary objective of this committee is to propose the creation of a single investment window that will simplify processes for investors.
With a deadline of 15 days, the committee is tasked with submitting its comprehensive report outlining strategies for ease of doing business in Pakistan.
