ISLAMABAD – May 18, 2026: The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), under the auspices of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), successfully concluded its Open House and Career Fair 2026.
The event brought together students, academia, industry leaders, national and international companies, and media representatives on a vibrant platform dedicated to promoting innovation, research, and professional development.
During the event, final-year students from various engineering and scientific disciplines presented more than 120 innovative projects. These projects focused on emerging technologies, research, creative problem-solving, and industrial applications, earning widespread appreciation from industry representatives for their technical depth and practical relevance.
The fair also featured the participation of approximately 50 renowned national and international companies and organizations. This provided students with valuable opportunities for professional networking, career guidance, internships, training, and future employment prospects, ultimately strengthening the vital linkages between academia and industry.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. In her welcome address, Rector PIEAS, Dr. Anila Usman, described the capabilities of young engineers and scientists as a guarantee for Pakistan’s bright future. She emphasized that the PIEAS Open House and Career Fair 2026 perfectly reflected the talent, hard work, and innovative thinking of the students.
Dr. Anila Usman further stated that PIEAS remains deeply committed to preparing the youth to play an effective role in national progress through modern education, research, and technology. She noted that such institutional initiatives were vital for fostering sustainable collaboration with the industrial sector.
