PHA Rawalpindi Intensifies Beautification Drive Along Murree Road

RAWALPINDI: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has intensified cleaning and beautification activities along green belts and road medians on Murree Road from Mareer Chowk to Committee Chowk in the Rashid Minhas Sector.

The drive is being carried out on the directives of Managing Director, Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, with field teams engaged in cleaning, hoeing, removing weeds and unwanted shrubs, and pruning plants to improve the appearance and health of the green belts.

Horticulture staff are also removing dry leaves, litter and other unwanted material, while trimming unnecessary branches to promote healthy plant growth.

Murree Road, one of Rawalpindi’s major thoroughfares, has been given special attention as part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to improve the appearance of major roads, intersections, medians and green spaces across the city.

The agency is also conducting seasonal cleaning, irrigation, pruning and other horticultural activities at various locations.

PHA officials said regular monitoring of field operations would continue to ensure the proper maintenance of green belts and provide residents with a cleaner, greener and more aesthetically pleasing urban environment.
