As the temperature declined in many areas due to the recent rains in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and smog in various cities of Punjab, the people belonging to lower and middle class families have thronged the ‘Landa Bazaars’ of respective cities.
The rain prediction by PMD has further increased the demand for warm clothes.
A large number of people can be witnessed purchasing different types of winter items, including sweaters, coats, quilts, blankets, trousers, shirts, woollies, children’s wear and jackets.
The customers including women and children visit different stalls of the ‘Landa Bazaars’ to purchase the require items.
The shopkeepers and customers especially women are seen arguing over prices of different things.
On the other hand, the owners of the stalls of “Landa Bazaars” keeping in view the prevailing situation have increased the prices of old garments.
The buyers complained that the ‘Landa Bazaar’ was earlier a source of relief for a person with low income but now the prices of market and ‘Landa Bazaar” have not much more difference.
On the other hand, sale of second-hand shoes has also witnessed an extra-ordinary increase. But the buyers have to face same problems here. Prices of second-hand shoes are also much higher and not affordable for an individual with low income.
