Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supreme Leader Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said that people have not accepted the narrative of saving the country from bankruptcy.
Speaking on private TV, Sanaullah said, “We have asked Asif Ali Zardari to take over as president so that the government can become stronger.”
“Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) should have taken up the matter with the Prime Minister in line with the appointment of the IRSA Chairman quietly. Managing the government will be easier thanks to the Minister of Finance and the Minister of the Interior,” he added.
Sanaullah said, “There was also an opinion within the PML-N that there is no need to repeat the experiment as we have already faced the damage.”
“Shehbaz Sharif was re-elected because he knows how to handle things,” he added.
He said: “We had a story about saving the country from bankruptcy. But people didn’t buy our narrative of saving the country from bankruptcy.
– The country faces difficulties –
Earlier this month, Sanaullah said the country was facing serious difficulties.
Expressing his thoughts, the former interior minister said, “Maulana Fazlur Rehman is not angry with me. We want to retain the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He [Fazlur Rehman] is our leader because we had a tough time during the tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“The meeting with Fazlur Rehman went well,” he added.
