A Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesman said 34 places in Mianwali, Leh, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rajanpur were flooded.
The PDMA said 24 boats and 78 rescuers are engaged in rescue operations while 36 relief camps have been set up in the flood-hit areas.
“930 people were moved to safe places in time,” the PDM General Directorate said.
“1572 people have been provided medical facilities in 33 medical campuses in the affected areas,” said Director General Irfan Kathia.
He said 757 head of cattle were shifted from flooded areas to safe places, 42,714 animals were vaccinated and there was no loss of life or property due to timely response of PDMA and administration.
A total of 785 homes and 49,212 acres were affected by the floodwaters.
“There is a possibility that the flood will continue in the Indus river for the next few days,” he added.
