GUJRAT: The Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF) has continued its efforts to promote climate education and environmental awareness among students through a visit to a local school by its District Assistant Coordinator for Gujrat, Mehak Anwar.

The visit focused on helping students better understand environmental challenges and encouraging them to participate in climate action and efforts to build a more sustainable future.

Student Climate Ambassador Recognised

During the visit, a Student Climate Ambassador was recognised for active participation in environmental awareness activities and presented with a PCF badge in appreciation of the student’s commitment.

Student Abdul Hadi also presented a painting as a gesture of appreciation. In return, the school principal presented a framed portrait of renowned Urdu poet Noon Meem Rashid.

PCF appreciated the school administration, faculty and students for their warm welcome and for supporting efforts to encourage young people to participate in environmental protection.

Focus on Youth and Climate Awareness

The initiative highlighted the role of schools in developing climate awareness among young people and encouraging students to understand environmental issues affecting their communities.

PCF said youth engagement can contribute to greater environmental responsibility and support community-level efforts towards sustainability and climate action.
