PCF Climate Youth Summit Lahore 2026 Highlights Youth Role In Climate Action

The Progressive Climate Foundation hosted the PCF Climate Youth Summit Lahore 2026 to promote youth leadership in climate action and environmental sustainability.

The summit, held in Lahore under the theme “Youth, Climate, and the Future: Shaping Pakistan’s Climate Leadership,” brought together policymakers, environmental experts, academics, development professionals and young climate leaders to discuss climate resilience and youth-led solutions for Pakistan.

Opening the event, PCF Founder and Chief Executive Officer Tawseef Khan said the foundation was focused on creating opportunities for young people to participate in climate policy discussions and sustainability initiatives.

Commodore Ehsan Ahmed Khan SI(M), Deputy President of the Maritime Centre of Excellence at Pak Navy War College Lahore, attended the summit as chief guest. Nazifa Butt, Director Climate Action and Sustainability at WWF-Pakistan, participated as guest of honour.

Speakers discussed the environmental impact of climate change, the link between conflict and climate vulnerability, and the need to strengthen Pakistan’s resilience against worsening climate risks.

The summit also featured expert and youth panel discussions on climate policy, air quality, urban resilience and youth leadership. Participants shared practical proposals and called for closer coordination among policymakers, researchers, civil society and young people.

According to PCF, the event was designed to encourage young climate leaders to engage with decision-makers and contribute to local and national responses to environmental challenges.

The summit concluded with the presentation of commemorative shields to guests and speakers. PCF also thanked its partners, volunteers and participants for supporting the event and reaffirmed its commitment to youth-led climate action in Pakistan.
