The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally reached out to retired all-rounder Imad Wasim. After the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) ends, PCB top officials want to meet the all-rounder and discuss his future career plans.
Therefore, the all-rounder was invited to the PCB headquarters in Lahore. Imad’s exceptional performance in PSL 9 was instrumental in helping Islamabad United win their third title. According to sources, Imad has accepted the invitation and is expected to meet PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi and national chief selector Wahab Riaz.
Furthermore, sources suggest that Wasim will be encouraged to rethink his retirement plans. Pakistan T20I captain Shaheen Afridi also contacted Imad and advised him to come back from retirement as the national team needs his services.

Despite playing his last T20 International for Pakistan against New Zealand in Rawalpindi a year ago, Imad has consistently maintained that his retirement is not final and he is willing to return to international cricket if required.
Imad is not willing to reconsider his retirement until his concerns are addressed. He fears he could be brought back into the team for one series and then be shut down again.
