PCB eyes ex-cricketers for mentorship roles

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in talks with some former star cricketers for coaching positions.

Sources related to it said that PCB has contacted Shoaib Akhtar, Shoaib Malik, Waqar Isunis, Moin Khan, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Isunis Khan, Saqlain Mushtaq and Misbah-ul-Haq. to promote the performance of the national team.

According to sources, the final decision will be taken in consultation with the PCB chairman.

Former cricketers and Babar Azam’s fate

PCB Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi told reporters in Lahore, “There has been no decision so far regarding Babar Azam.” He also said that he only consults cricketers who want to improve Pakistan cricket.

“I was just talking to former cricketers who are interested in the progress of Pakistan cricket,” Naqvi said.

The PCB chairman did not reveal the identity of the former cricketer involved in the decision-making process. However, he said the former cricketer has submitted a detailed report highlighting the shortcomings of Pakistan cricket.
