Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi is expected to meet the nominated white-ball captain Babar Azam and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi today (Monday).
Sources revealed that the PCB chief will visit the Kakul fitness camp where he will take Shaheen Shah Afridi on board in connection with the captaincy.
After meeting Babar and Shaheen, Naqvi is expected to join the rest of the players for an iftar dinner.
Meanwhile, according to sources, Shaheen is not happy with his removal from the captaincy.
Sources privy to the development said Shaheen was of the view that he had not been taken on board before being removed as captain nor had his queries been answered.
The selection committee is expected to announce the T20I squad for the upcoming home series against New Zealand within 48 hours.

Earlier on Sunday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a press release without speaking to pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Sources revealed that Shaheen was resting after Iftar when the PCB issued a press release referring to the former.
According to sources, Shaheen was upset with PCB’s attitude. Shaheen Shah Afridi is expected to likely react to the PCB press release.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was not happy with the selection committee’s approach. The selection committee did not respond to Shaheen’s queries.
Earlier, PCB issued a press release under Shaheen Shah Afridi.
PCB quoted Shaheen as saying, “It has been an absolute honor to captain the Pakistan national cricket team. I will always cherish the memories and opportunities. As a team player, I must support our captain Babar Azam.”
“I have played under his captaincy and I have nothing but respect for him. I will try to help him on and off the field. We are all one. Our goal is the same, to help Pakistan become the best team in the world,” the press release added.
