Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has said that if Pakistan wins the T20 World Cup, each player will be awarded $100,000.
According to details, Naqvi held a meeting with officials and players at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The PCB chief spent two hours with the players and talked to the cricketers about the strategy of the game.
Naqvi said: “The awards I announced before Pakistan’s victory are meaningless. I hope you [players] will bring pride to the country today.”
He encourages players to play the game without fear. “We have to take team and make sure they play for Pakistan,” Mohsin Naqvi said.
“Shahin Shah Afridi will do well in the World Cup,” said Naqvi as he joined pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi in Pakistan.
“We are promoting domestic cricket at school and university level.”
He got the performances of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and pacer Naseem Shah. Naqvi presented a special green shirt to Rizwan for completing 3000 runs in T20Is.
He said he will solve the problems faced by the players based on priority.
Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Yousuf, Babar Azam, Azhar Mahmood, and Usman Wahla were among those who attended the event.
