PCB announces new selection committees

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a new selection committee following the dismissal of Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq.

The new selection committee consists of four voting members and five other non-voting members.

The voting members include former captain Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq; along with the current captain and head coach. The non-voting members are Azhar Mahmood, Bilal Afzal, Hasan Cheema, Nadeem Khan, and Usman Wahla.

The PCB has also formed a women’s selection committee in addition to the men’s. This committee consists of four individuals namely Asad Shafiq, Batool Fatima – the captain of the women’s team and also the head coach.

The PCB’s move to restructure the selection committees is primarily motivated to bring in fresh perspectives and thereby enhance the team’s performance during the upcoming cricket season.
