Pakistani Tekken star Arslan Ash secured another major victory by winning the Tekken World Tour 2023 (TWT 23) Finals held in New Orleans, United States on Sunday.
Arslan defeated CherryBerryMango (CBM) in the finals 3-1 with a dominating display that secured him the title.
Arslan, often regarded as the greatest player of all time (GOAT) in Tekken, started his top eight campaign with a thrilling 2-1 win over LowHigh in the winners semi-final to reach the winners final.
In the winners’ final, Arslan’s toughest challenge came against Ulsan, who the Pakistani overcame after a five-game battle which the 28-year-old won 3-2.
Then came Arslan’s final test of the night against CBM, whom he easily defeated in the finals.
Having previously won Evo Japan and Evo Vegas, Arslan’s victory in Sunday night’s TWT 23 finale saw him complete the 2023 treble.
It should be noted that in August, Arslan became a four-time EVO champion after winning the title in Las Vegas.
The 27-year-old impressed with his skills and track, defeating Japan’s AO 3-0 in the grand final.
Arslan became the only player in the world to win the prestigious event four times in Tekken 7. He won the title in Japan and Las Vegas in 2019 and repeated the same feat this year.
Arslan is considered by many to be the best Tekken player of all time. It was also awarded the best E-Player of 2019 by EPSN.
Arslan is also the CEO 2021 Champion and the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament winner, where he won the title after defeating all 10 of his opponents.
