ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday visited the headquarters of the National Logistics Corporation (NLC), where he met senior officials to review ongoing cooperation and identify new areas for collaboration between Pakistan Railways and the state-run logistics body.

The meeting focused on enhancing joint initiatives in rail freight and logistics, including potential investment in locomotives and rolling stock, development of modern warehousing, establishment of logistics parks and dry ports, and expansion of integrated logistics infrastructure to support the national supply chain.
The minister praised NLC’s contribution to strengthening rail freight capacity and underlined the need for closer institutional coordination to improve efficiency and connectivity. He reiterated the government’s resolve to advance government-to-government cooperation aimed at promoting sustainable transport solutions and reinforcing Pakistan’s logistics and freight ecosystem.
