Pakistan head coach Azhar Mahmood on Tuesday rallied behind a Babar Azam-inspired squad ahead of the home series against New Zealand.
“I am very happy with my team. We have great batsmen, fast bowlers and two strikers,” Mahmood told reporters.
He reiterated pacer Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim all to Pakistan national team.
No team can be considered weak in the T20 format,” he said of his thoughts on the New Zealand team. Babar clarified that Azam can rest.
Mahmood praised all-rounder Aamer Jamal and said, “Aamer Jamal is my favorite player. He [Aamer Jamal] will emerge as one of the greatest strikers in the future.

Kakul remembered the fitness camp and said, “Everyone was satisfied with Kakul’s fitness camp”.
Mahmoud acknowledged the talent in the squad and said, “We have a lot of talent in the squad. The only thing we need to do now is to make them players.”
Talking about Shaheen Shah Afridi’s fitness, Mahmood said, “Shaheen Shah Afridi is very fit.”
