Pakistan has directly qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the qualified teams for the T20 World Cup 2026. According to ICC, Pakistan is included among the qualified teams for the T20 World Cup 2026 based on their superior ranking in the T20 format.

ICC has stated that a total of 12 teams have directly qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026. Apart from the host Sri Lanka and India, Afghanistan has also qualified. Other teams include Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, England, West Indies, USA, Ireland, and New Zealand.

It should be noted that Pakistan did not reach the Super Eight stage in the last year’s T20 World Cup, which led to misinformation spreading on social media and other forums that Pakistan would have to play qualifying matches for the next World Cup.
