Pakistan committed to combat Islamophobia: FM

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Friday said Pakistan has reaffirmed its resolve to fight Islamophobia, which is on the rise worldwide, fueled by discriminatory laws and populist politics that manifests itself in hijab bans, desecration of the Holy Quran, defamation of religious figures, and destruction of holy places.

In a statement, he said: “On this International Day Against Islamophobia, we join the international community to raise our voices against all forms of Islamophobia. Pakistan will continue to work closely with the international community in promoting dialogue, harmony, and mutual understanding.
